WOOD ROCKER
Looking for a new balance
Andrew Krysciak, 2025
Wood, paint, fabric
58 × 61 × 46 cm
When a familiar shape is turned upside down, it not only reveals a new perspective, but also brings the mind closer to answers to life's most difficult questions.
This piece is a reinterpretation of the rocking chair, designed to keep your legs on the ground while the seat moves. Its base is made from the inverted legs of another chair, redesigned and adapted to support the structure above. The seat can be easily removed from its base for easy transport or displayed.
The cushion is sewn from recycled fabrics, with zippers that fit perfectly into the contours of the chair. It also comes with a protective plastic cover.
